Why Is Lab Testing So Important?
It’s not always easy to determine what is causing a chronic illness. The lab testing correctly identify the underlying issue. Environmental factors / Nutritional Deficiency / Individual Genetic Finger prints, even medications can affect a person’s biochecmistry. We need to investigate those epifenitic factors in order to use the most appropriate treatment for you.
Lab Testing Allows Us to See What Is Really Going on Beneath the Surface
Tension type of headache, multiple chemical chemical sensitivity, overactive bladder and interstitial cystitis and chronic Lyme disease involving hyper excitement of central nerve system . Central sensitivity syndrome is manifested as hypersensitivity to noxious and non-noxious stimuli. Therefore, using functional lab tests to investigate undermine causes are very important part of work up and medical treatment.
Auto immune diseases are triggered by food, virus or bacterial infections or chemical intolerance, food allergy, gluten sensitivity and leaking brain and leaking brain has been researched and identity by many studies . Investigate those offensive factors prior developing auto immune disease are critical to reverse or prevent autoimmune disease prior it become clinical surfacing and patient becomes ill.
Physiological problems, such as sleep disturbances, fatigue, and psychomotor problems are mentioned but could just as easily be linked to other psychological or physiological disorders. In short, traditional methods of diagnosing mental health disorders often miss some symptoms and misunderstand others.
Lab testing ensures that we don’t miss a single thing. The results can help us understand the issues and symptoms clients are dealing with, as well as potential treatments.
Our lab testing includes, but is not limited to:
- Complete metabolic functioning, including liver and kidney
- Complete blood count with differential
- Amino acids
- Trace minerals
- Cortisol
- Sex hormones, comprehensive
- Pregnancy, thyroid, blood sugar, iron, and other metabolic markers
- Additional tests may be requested by the medical directors
- Food and gluten, wheat allergy test
- Inhaler IGE and IGG test
- Mycotoxin test
- Lyme disease test
- Heavy metal test
- Chemical exposure test
- Comprehensive stool DNA study
- Multiple organ autoimmune screen
- Immune function test et al
- Stress response and life style testing — adrenal function test
- GI issues – Microbiome , intestine permeability , GI Pathogens DNA ,
- Cellular functions : Organic acids / metabolomics
- Prevent autoimmune disease in preclinical stages: different organs antibodies screen , food sensitivity , chemical , heavy metal , mycotoxin
Extensive blood, urine and stool analysis allows us to get started with a clear picture of where the client is at. We can assess blood sugar, electrolyte balance, organ function, hormone balance, adrenal function, neurotransmitter status, immune function, nutrient and mineral status, and the cofactors in between. Nutrient deficiencies, for example, play an important role in health and disease and are almost always seen concurrently with mental health symptoms.
The most effective way to heal the body and mind together is a combination of thorough lab work, psychological analysis, and holistic treatment. Often, this is all that’s needed to address both physical and mental health issues without the need for psychiatric medications or a complicated diagnostic procedure.
Lab Tests Are Effective and Reliable
Following are examples of tests we provide in our clinic
1. Endocrine Testing
Epifenic factors which has impact on detox processes, Hormone metabolize, Hormone declined:
- Cortisol/DHEA imbalance
- Estrogen or progesterone imbalance
- Testosterone deficiency
- Thyroid function
2. Gastrointestinal Testing
To assess whether you have a problem with any of the following:
- Digestion or absorption
- Gut inflammation
- Immune function
- Yeast overgrowth
- Bacterial over growth
- Harmful bacteria
- Leaking gut
Procedure:
You will be able to collect stool specimen at home and place it in a specimen container.
Results / treatment:
If you are found to have any of those problems, recommendations will be made how to correct or treat these deficiencies with GI restoration protocol. You should feel a whole lot better as treatment progresses.
3. Allergy Testing
To assess whether you have a problem with any of the following:
- Food sensitivities / allergies
- Gluten / wheat sensitivities and allergies
- Environmental allergies and sensitivity
- Candida overgrowth / allergy / sensitivity
Procedure:
You just need to have your blood drawn in integrative Medical pain clinic. That’s it!
Results /Treatment:
If you found to have any sensitivities / allergies, recommendations will be made how to correct or treat these sensitivities / allergies with probiotics, prebiotics, pharmaceuticals, nutrition’s or botanicals. You should feel a whole lot better as treatment progresses. You will be given s “shopping list” containing food you can eat.
What’s next?
The testing should be repeated in three months to see how far the sensitivities / allergies have been corrected.
4. Toxic metal and mineral screen or environmental chemical toxic test
To assess whether you have a problem with toxic metals or chemical toxins
Procedures:
After walking in the morning, you will place your first urine void into a urine specimen bag #1 ( pre–provocative test ). You will be asked to take a chelation medicine, DMSA ( meso- 2, 3 dimercaptosuccinic acid ) which will bind to the toxic metals in your body , allowing them to be excreted in your urine so they can be accurately measured then you will be in infrared sauna for 30 mins to facility heavy metal moves out from your fat cells. for next 24 hours, you will collect 24 hour urine in bag #2, ( post provocative test).
DMSA is a safe compound but has been noted to temporarily worsen gastrointestinal syndrome. Severe reaction is rare.
Results /Treatment:
If you found to have any elevated toxic metals with the provocative testing , recommendation will be made how to correct or treat these deficiencies with pharmaceuticals and nutrition . Toxic metals has found associated with hypertension, cardiac vascular disease and oxidative stress and systematic inflammation
You should feel a whole lot better as treatment progresses.
What‘s next?
The testing should be repeated 3, 6 or 12 months after chelation has progressed , to make sure the problem is being corrected .
5. Mold and Mycotoxin illness test
To assess whether you have a chronic inflammation response syndrome, or mold exposure. It often found associated with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, depression and anxiety disorder
Procedures:
- Home test: Environmental mold index score (EMIS)
- Urine test for mycotoxin
Results / treatment:
If you are found to have any abnormalities, recommendation will be made how to correct or treat this bio toxin illness. You should feel a whole lot better as treatment progresses.
What’s next?
The testing should be repeated in about three to six months to see how far the abnormalities have been corrected.
6. Organic acid test and methylation problems
To assess whether you have a problem with any of following:
- mitochondria function: affecting all of cell functions, from immune disorder to chronic fatigue,
- Over or under methylation: often associate with neuropsychiatric issues: ADHD, depression, anxiety disorder and substance addiction
- oxalate is common related to kidney stone and mold colonization
Procedure:
Home urine test
Blood test in body focus clinic
Results / treatment:
If you are found to have any of those problems, recommendations will be made how to correct or treat these deficiencies with GI restoration protocol. You should feel a whole lot better as treatment progresses.
7. Red blood cell Micronutrient test
- Red blood cell micronutrient test can demonstrate whether you have micronutrient deficiency
Procedure:
You will be able to get blood draw in body focus clinic
Results / treatment:
If you are found to have any those micronutrient deficiency , recommendation will be made how to correct or treat these deficiency . You should feel whole lot better as treatment progresses.
What ‘s next :
The testing should be repeated in 3 to 6 months to make sure the problem is corrected .
8. Food IGE Panel (Great Plains Laboratory, Atelle MetaMetrix/Genova, US Biotek)
9. GI Map: by diagnostic solutions
10. Phospholipase A2 Activity Test Analysis (Great Plains Laboratory)
